Cocktail of the Week

MOJITO
I used a bottle for my mojitos (yes, I drink a lot). If you do too, adjust recipe by increasing the ingredients 5 times.
This week flew by for me and I am so glad it is almost the weekend. Not is it any weekend, but is the weekend before the Deepavali holiday, next friday! Whhooppee! I know most of you will be zooming off somewhere, the long weekend is a fantastic period to go for that long deserved holiday. Besides, the year is coming to a close, so let down your hair and have some fun!

Well, before all that, let us just enjoy this weekend with a refreshing mojito to perk up your day.

A mint sprig
Ingredients
A good handful of mint sprigs
50ml golden rum
2 tablespoons of sugar syrup
Soda water to top up
A squeeze of lime juice

Prepare the sugar syrup first by mixing 1.5 tablespoons of sugar with 50ml of hot water, set aside.
Put the mint sprigs into a tall glass and add the rum, lime juice and sugar syrup.
Use the base of a spoon and brush the mint sprigs to release its flavours.
Add crushed ice and stir vigorously.
Top up with soda water and stir again.
Serve with a straw.

Have a great weekend ahead and start packing that holiday bag!
